Rainy Saturday

We are getting the rain and wind that has crossed the country this week. We could get 1 - 3 inches of rain and winds up to 60 MPH. Not a day to be out and about unless absolutely necessary. I was hoping to go to Marden's to buy sashing and fabric for a birthday club in one of my Yahoo groups. But, I'm stuck inside today.

Not a bad thing though. My quilts have come back from my LA and I am impatiently waiting for DH to wake up so I can start sewing the binding on one of them. Then I can spend the rest of the day hand sewing the binding. Tonight we do have to go out to meet some friends, but I think I'd rather stay in all day.

Here's my mom with her kitty quilt. She told me she loves it and so do her three real cats. Hooray.

Well, DH just woke up so it's time for breakfast and then time to sew! Yeah!

Hi Sweet P, we got the rains yesterday, today we got the winds. But by 2 p.m. this afternoon, the skies were clear and sun shining. :D I stayed in all day yesterday, now today's your turn. LOL Sew Sew Sew

Wow - that's a lot of wind power. Keep yourself tucked warmly indoors stitching away on that binding *s*

What a sweet picture of your mother and her quilt! I'm glad she was pleased - how could she not be! We have been having heavy fog an then clear blue skies. Still haven't had a frost yet - unreal for our part of the country. Weather continues to be strange around the globe - who says there isn't any global warning messing with our climates!

Hope you stayed warm and dry today. It looks like your Mom is really enjoying her quilt. How sweet of you to make her such a beautiful quilt.

Hi Sweet P, I'm from northern Maine. Isn't Marden's the best! My fabric stash got to be bulging from their great fabrics before I went "no buy"!

Your mom looks like she loves the quilt. We had a rainy Friday but Saturday was just breezy - it was a little cool for my son's outdoor wedding but the ceremony wasn't too long so it worked out OK.
