See Dick Run

See Dick and Jane. Run Jane run.

Did you learn to read with Dick and Jane books? I did. I remember sitting in first grade reading class. First slowly pronouncing every word as I learned to read. Then being able to read the whole book without missing book.

Well, Michael Miller has designed a line of fabric - Dick and Jane. I think I am in love! The whole fabric line is incredible! I can already visual several quilts or play mats made with the fabric. Too bad I'm on a No Buy pledge until April. But I'm going to start marking the days until I can buy the fabric.

I know Hancock's of Paducah has a 12 FQ pack of some of the fabric, but I want a piece of every design.

OK, OK, I'll stop salivating now. You may go back to your regularly scheduled quilting.

Yep - I learned to read that way. Yep, I've seen the fabric. Yep, I love it. Yep, I'm limiting my buying. I'm saved only by the fact that I don't know what I'd do with it. Strange comment - I know - coming from someone who buys fabric all the time without knowing what I'll do with it!

I like it too - all of it - those "go withs" are so neat. (I have a soft spot for polka dots and geometrics) I'll grab some at my LQS (if the get any) with my gift certificate - or not at all...

I am so glad you posted this! I love Dick and Jane. I have some framed cards around my house. The artwork is wonderful!

I wish I would have learned to read Dick and Jane. I am the right age, but for some reason my school district didn't go that route. Ilove the graphic of these books -- may have to have the fabric anyway *s*

Yes yes, Dick and Jane and Sally. I can remember what hard work that was to learn to read. And it was deadly serious because I was desperate to learn. It's darling fabric, Sweet P!

You may want to check Hancock's - I bought one of those polka dots at my Hancock's last summer so maybe they carry the whole "Dick & Jane" line. And if so, you can use your 40% coupons! ;c) Happy Weekend! ~Bonnie
