I finally took the time to sit at my sewing machine and sew something (or two or three). According to my sewing log the last time I used the machine was on June 27! I think that's a record for me. First up this morning was my siggie blocks. I finished 48 of them. I need to make 60. I'll make the rest tomorrow and then I'll sign them.
I also sewed two 9-patches from the galoshes fabric I bought last week. I like how they are looking. The quilts should turn out to be fun quilts when I'm done with them.
Now the Red Sox/Yankees game is on and I'm going to work on my postage stamp charms. It's a hot, hot day here in NH so I'm staying indoors.
Happy Stitching!
Sweet P

Good idea with the galoshes fabric. I'll have to remember that when I pull my fabric out...thanks for the inspiration :)
Love your color choices on your siggy blocks. Who are you doing a siggy swap with?
Cute blocks- as for the hand piecing- I managed to get 30 tumbling blocks pieced during the game. Get your blocks ready for tomorrow night during the day and you'll be amazed how many you get done. Seriously, if you watch alot of games like we do, you need something to do while you watch. In the winter I do bindings if needed but the summer is just too hot. So unless I'm hand quilting something small like the flag banner ( which I quilted watching the Red Sox beat Seattle everynight last week) I always have some kind of hand piecing project going.
I was cheering as loud as the Sox fans when Arod got beaned :)
Those 9-patch blocks are really cute!
A couple of years ago, we vacationed in New York for several days, and one thing we did was go to a Yankees-Red Sox game - it was a lot of fun. It was the first major league game I'd been to where the fans were that involved - it reminded me of a bedlam game (Oklahoma State University vs. University of Oklahoma - HUGE rivalry).
I love the fabric with the mud boots. It's too cute. What are you going to use the signature blocks for?
Love the galoshes fabric, would make a great kids quilts,
hand piecing is great for in front of the telly, I love to hand piece my apple cores then.

I love nine patch blocks. Charming and fun.
How can you sew during a Sox/Yankees game? When I watch baseball on TV I get too involved to get much else done. LOL
In August my Rangers visit your Sox. Be nice. I wish I could sneak up there and meet up with you for a game. It would be a hoot!
Nice to have time away from the machine, but then it always there calling out to you, isn't it?
Quilty hugs - Lurline.
The siggie blocks are so fun with the colors you're using. Great idea.
Those siggie blocks are a nice change from other album blocks.
